Environmental Trip
The Higher Managing Environmental Resources trip attended a fieldwork course at Kindrogan Field Studies Centre near Blairgowrie.
Between the 4th-7th of September 13 pupils from the Higher ‘Managing Environmental Resources’ and Advanced Higher Geography classes attended a fieldwork course at Kindrogan Field Studies Centre near Blairgowrie. We investigated heather moorland, paddled in a river to find out if invertebrates were being affected by pollution, looked into the environmental impact of the ski area at Glen Shee, and completed some land use analysis.
Our tutors, Duncan and Rich, were enthusiastic and kept us motivated throughout, even when there were torrential downpours! It wasn’t all work! We also got to have a go on the low and high ropes courses – good fun!
