To help parents explore their options,Perth College is hosting a Parents Night on Thursday 20 March
from 5.30-7.30pm.

Visitors will have the chance to meet staff and get
answers about courses and programmes or have a free coffee with the
assistant principal in the new Learning Café. As a bonus, visitors who
pre-register will have the chance to win £50 worth of Tesco vouchers, a
massage at the Perth College salon or lunch for two at the award
winning restaurant.

There are scheduled panel discussions and visitors can choose which
ones they would like to go to. At 5.40pm visitors can find out more
about ‘Opportunities for school children at Perth College’ at 6.10pm:
‘Technology and Creative Industry Courses’ at 6.40pm: ‘Service
Industries and Care Courses’ and lastly, at 7.10pm: ‘Support services
and student life at Perth College’. Staff will be on hand the entire
evening to answer any questions.

Lynda Stewart, who has a 15 year old son going into fifth year at high
school said: “I think this is a great idea. My son keeps changing his
mind about what he wants to do and I don’t know what advice to give
him, especially since he keeps alternating between further education or an
apprenticeship. Hopefully after visiting the college, I will be more
informed as to what grades he needs to achieve and I’ll be able to talk
to him about the choices he has.”

You can pre-register to be entered into the prize draw by calling Lisa
on 01738 877209 or emailing lisa.stewart@perth.uhi.ac.uk. Visitors are
welcome to just show up at Perth College’s Brahan building on the
night.
