Nokia Tune Competition
Nokia launched a global campaign to find a fresh version of the Nokia Tune for 2012 – and pupils from Mrs Kinahan’s S2 music class entered the competition.
Nokia Tune is one of world's most recognized audio brand assets and is estimated to be heard over one billion times a day.The first prize was $10,000 with 5 runner up prizes of $1,000. Sadly the three groups who entered did not win the top prizes, but they did gain three ‘stars’ in the voting campaign.
Mrs Kinahan says: ‘This was a great achievement for the girls considering there were 6,000 entries of all ages and from all over the world.’
The pupils are: Rebecca Blues, Catherine McLeod, Shannon McGrath, Sarah Wilson, Alannah Jordan, Shona Robertson and Nychole Purll
