Friends of Perth High School

The Parent-Teacher Association became the Friends of Perth High School last year. It exists to provide a focus for greater contact with parents and to promote cooperation between parents and staff in everything pertaining to the well-being of the school and its pupils. This is done by organising a programme of educational, social and fund-raising activities.

The success of this venture is marked by its achievements to date which include the involvement of parents in:

• Regular meetings with parents to discuss educational issues;
• Extra-curricular activities;
• Accompanying pupils on curricular excursions;
• The organisation of Open Days and Evenings;
• Many fund-raising activities to help enhance the educational provision within the school.

The continuing success of this programme depends on the participation and active support of all parents.

The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of P.H.S. takes place early in September each year and is widely advertised locally. Only with your support can they really be an organisation which benefits all our pupils.

Membership of the Friends of P.H.S. Committee is designed to ensure representation from all of the areas which the school serves. At present the Committee consists of:-
