Learning Support
By JR on 26/6/2003
The Learning Support department support pupils with learning difficulties of all types. They also have a remit to support the most able pupils who require significant extension activities and materials.
Learning difficulties take many forms and may, in many cases, be quite short-lived. The support provided can, therefore, take many forms and may include giving advice to other staff and parents on materials and methods to be used, working in class alongside class teachers, linking with visiting specialists to support specific needs and, in a few cases, working with pupils for short periods outwith the normal classroom environment.
Direct appointments may be made with Mrs Donald, Principal Teacher of Learning Support through the school office.
