Members: Chris Potter(Vocals), Liam Manson(Bass and Vocals), Kenny Malton(Lead Guitar), Marc Young(Rhythm Guitar), Rory Penman(Drums)

Biography:
Talus started, as Icarus Theory, in 2002, with school friends Chris Potter, Marc Young, Liam Manson, Kenny Malton and Stuart Collier (a.k.a Stan). Stan left for university leaving the spot open for a new drummer, which after much debating, "personnel reshuffling" and brief appearances from Bassist Rob Saleh and Drummer Jo. . . something or other, finnally led to the present Drummer Rory Penmann and the new name, Talus.

Influences within the band range from old school Country music to Hardcore Metal. Marc has influences from Drum n Bass (So Solid Crew) to Death and Black metal ( Pantera and Mortician), Rory still has his old school obsession with Rock (AC/DC) to and oddly enough Techno, Liam. . . Punk . . . ,Chris from Rap (Sugarhill Gang), Drum n Bass (Andy C) to anything metal (Deftones to Converge) and finnally Kenny with his subtle blend of Dave Matthews Band to Metallica.

Only recently Talus have started writing songs, due to a more permanent band setup and have also begun playing more gigs, in places like Perth High (for BOTB) and Bar Code. Coming runners up in our school BOTB to well known and established bands such as 4Star and Allergo gave us the confidence we needed to carry on to do more gigs outside of school.
