Geography Red Nose
Rob Hands and his S3 Geography Class were studying development and health. They were looking at the differences between rich and poor countries.
During a film they were watching about aid to Less Economically Developed Countries (LEDC'S) Someone in the class mentioned Red Nose Day and Comic Relief. The class discussed what we might do and decided on organising a "Bucket Collection" to collect money for Comic Relief.
They designed posters to publicise their event and organised help in getting collection buckets.
On Red Nose Day the whole class went around the school and collected money in the buckets from every class. A mountain of small change and notes was collected and it took more time to count it than to gather it in.
The total collected and handed over to Comic Relief was £192.60
Well done to all who helped and contributed.
It all goes to show - YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
